Jammu, Apr 28 : A dance recital by renowned Kathak dancer Rani Khanam, under the aegis of Spic Macay, was staged at Heritage School Jammu. According to press release, 'Dance is the hidden language of the soul' and is also considered an act of creation. All classical forms of art are an important source of not only aesthetic values but also life, mind, soul and spiritual values. It is the awareness of these values which the cultural organization of Spic Macay envisions and aims to spread through our Heritage of classical music and dance amongst the youth of today, said one of the speaker. In her vote of thanks, the secondary co-ordinator expressed dire need of exposing our young generation to such classical forms for them to make better choices for learning in life. |
