Early Times Report

Jammu, May 24: Function to mark 475th birth anniversary of Maharana Partap, which was organised this evening by the pro-RSS organisations, was used as a mean to give a veiled warning to BJP leadership against selling Jammu’s interest for the lust of power.
Although the function was organized by a social organisation in which representatives of all social and religious organisations were present, it was turned to be platform to give warning to BJP ministers to mend their ways otherwise people will not forgive them.
Credible sources in the Sangh Parivar said that speeches in today’s function was discussed before beginning because the organisation, which had organised the event, wanted to give BJP leadership a lesson for not adopting aggressive postures.
Credible sources said that Sangh Parivar was not fully convinced with the soft attitude being adopted by the BJP leadership especially party ministers so the Parivar wanted to give BJP leadership a lesson.
Today’s function was specially designed, sources said, to take on BJP because party leadership has become arrogant and not giving ear to the issues being highlighted by the grass-root workers. Today’s function was organised by an organisation which has association with RSS. All the speakers used the platform to take on BJP.
Interestingly none of the speaker highlighted achievements of PDP-BJP coalition regime. In the presence of BJP Rajya Sabha member Shamsher Singh Manhas, speakers attacked BJP leadership for selling wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu region for power.
