Jammu, Aug 2: Department of Agriculture on Sunday organized a farmer awareness camp at village Kalyar, Block Mathwar. According to press release, the function was presided over by R L Bhagat Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) Jammu, other senior officers of the department were also present in the function. In the awareness camp CAO, addressed and awared the farmers of the area about various schemes of the agriculture department and also listened to their problems like menace of monkeys in the area and weed problems. He also encouraged the farmer community to do the trainings in apiculture, mushroom growing, vermicomposting and floriculture so that beside agriculture they have an opportunity to earn additional income by establishing these units. |
