Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 2 : Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign Committee urged 'Spiritual Awareness Society of India" to join in fight against menace of gender specific growth of society harming population of girl child.
According to, SS Bijral retired IGP and State Convener of BJP Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Committee addressing the gathering in 70th birth day celebration of Dr K. Krishna, a spiritual leader, at Kamla Palace, urged them to devotedly fight trends degenerating society and weakening Bharat.
He said this alone would be true tribute to the departed spiritual dignity. He said that when Dr K. Krishna impressed upon his devotees to focus on recitation of word 'AUM' for five minutes each in morning and evening, he meant to put us all on path of spirituality, the essence and purpose of life.
Bijral citing Guru Nanak "Arbad Narbad Dhandookara; Dharan Na Gagan Na Hukam Apara; Na Din Rain Na Chand Na Suraj; Sunn Smadh Lagayeda,' meaning before creation of the universe, for time immemorial, it was God alone in meditation.
He said upon this creation-a manifestation of God- the first sound produced was 'AUM'.
Taking a dig at the society abusing technology and resorting to selective birth of males at the cost of female babies, Bijral citing Guru Nanak: "andaj, jairaj utpaj seitaj, teirey keetey janta; ek roop mein tera dekya tu sabhna mein ravanta", said that whatever be the mode of birth prevalent in universe, God is prevalent in all forms of life and wondered how come we commit female foeticide accepting only birth of male baby and claim ourselves religious and spiritual.
