These golden words have the power to change the life of an individual and thus can change the whole world too.Many researches had also proved this ,but still there are millions who are untouched by the soothing effect of these woods. Our thinking is our attitude or we can say that our attitude is an important and inseparable part our thinking .We can't imagine the former without the later.Attitude is the way through which we look towards other and towards ourselves.It is infact,a spectacles through which we percieve the whole world and inturn effect the whole world.
Attitude has acquired much weightage these days.Many self help groups are working to improve the attitude of the millions,but all is useless, unless our concious fail to recognise it.Attitude may be positive and may be negative too.A positive attitude is a blessing and a negative attitude is a curse. A positive attitude cultivates the positive habits and a negative attitude cultivates negative habits .In a class,a teacher rebucks the child for coming late in the class.A child if takes it positively ,next time will come in time next time.if, the otherhand, he takes it negatively,he will not come on time next time.The difference between the two cases is the difference between his attitudes.if the teacher somehow achieved in changing the attitude of the latter child,he may cultivate the habit of punctuality in him.But how to cultivate the good attitude , at all? Every work whether little or great can't be accomplished unless one want to do it.there is only one-you,can do it for yourself and the only one thing that is needed for cultivating good attitude is look at the bright side of the things.Instead of looking at the darker cloud,look at the silver lining of the cloud.In japan,there was an old art,where everything that was broken was filled with gold plating,they consider it as an opportunity to make a better world around them yet if all the things around you are dark ,take your brush and paint them to look brighter.
Habits are our repetitve action.Our attitude forms our habits a child if one day comes late to class and continue to do so,it becomes his habit.Habits too can be either positive or negative Some children of the class have the habit of coming to class on time - A good habit while other always tend to come late in the class - A bad habit. It's our attitude and our reasoning that decides it . The cultivation of good habits must be encouraged right from the childhood, as a raw pot can be moulded in to any form. In cultivating good habits, our family ,education and our environment plays the crucial role. Now , the main gaint comes that is the cure to all problems and at the same time is the cause of all the problems too. According to Abraham Lincoln : " Character is like a tree and reputation its shadow, we care for the shadow and not for the trees." A bad character can destroy the millions while the good character can create the millions. In our religious texts , we often discuss the virtues of good characters like Shri Ram and Shri Krishna and read and talk about the notorious qualities of the bad characters like Ravana and Kans. If a child continues to come late in the class constantly, then he becomes a late comer in the class and eventually this habit spreads its roots in other spheres too and in every occassion he is a late comer whether in meetings, marriages, offices etc. It becomes a part of his character.
In a sum and substance, the whole concept can be understood by visualising the pyramid , where Man comes at the tip of the pyrmid as in figure as shown. |
