Nav Usha stages street play "Aapda Ka Saamna"

JAMMU, July 30: Nav Usha staged street (nukkad) play "Aapda Ka Saamna" at remote and hilly village Tumbi, Behra in tehsil Nagrota in a bid to reach out such pockets of state to spread social awareness among rural population.
The play was conceived and written by well known writer, poet, social activist and cultural personality Rampaul Dogra while it was directed by Usha Rani.The story of the play revolves around a person Shami, who belongs to a poor family, whose kachha house gets damaged crops get ruined in hail storm and heavy rain which puts the entire family into great difficulty. Children are crying for food and shelter after the incident. The villagers are mute spectators and nobody comes forward to help them but they wait only for government help to come as usual. Meanwhile, village Sarpanch comes in rescue and says that certainly, government help will come but till then we all need to give them support. Let us unite first in this hour of crisis and we should help the poor family by restoring their damaged house so that children could sleep in the night without any difficulty. On the humble request of Sarpanch, all the villagers come out for rescue of affected poor family for that humanitarian cause. They rebuilt the damaged structure and arranged some essentials and money for them too. They also arranged atta, daal, rice from their houses for temporary feeding up their children and pledged that in such a situation they will remain united and help each other without any delay immediately. In the final scene, a Revenue official also visits there on the basis of information given by Sarpanch. The officer tells that we appreciate the efforts of all the villagers who rescued the family in emergency including the role of Sarpanch.
