Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 7: Nami Dogri Sanstha (Regd.) organised a special musical programme "Maa Boli Da Maan" which comprised of some Dogri fusion music numbers a blend of Dogri and western music. Ravi Kesar, chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Board was the chief guest on the occasion and the function was presided over by D. C. Raina former Advocate General and Chairman Baba Kaliveer Charitable Trust Jammu. Capt. Lalit Sharma IFS, Former Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests was guest of honour. Subhash Shastri was the president of the Programme. Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, President, Nami Dogri Sanstha (Regd.) and Anupama Sharma, patron, Youth Wing, Nami Dogri Sanstha (Regd.) also co-shared the dais. The Dogri songs presented on the occasion reflected the cultural, traditional, folk, ethnic and social ethics of the Dogras and Duggar. The singers include Advocate Nidhi Kaila, Sanjeet Kumar disciple of famous singer Suresh Wadekar, Rita Khadial, Saras Bharti and Suresh Chowhan. The accompanists were Lucky on octopad, Krishan Kumar Johny on Synthesizer, Vinay Kumar on Tabla, Satvir Singh on Guitar, Rajiv Salotra on Dholak and Sunil Kumar Sharma on Flute were at their best. The programme was compered ably by Sapna Soni, a famous drama artist. Lalit Sharma, Convener NDS in his opening address welcomed the persons on the dias and the participants. He said that today's programme is exclusivity designed, organized and presented by the Youth Wing of the Nami Dogri Sanstha (Regd.) Subash Shastri complimented NDS for grooming and encouraging the young artists for furtherence of Dogri culture. Sohail Kazmi said that traditional secular character and communal harmony of our state is and example for the entire country to follow. Ravi Kesar IFS said that Dogri language is the identity and pride of Dogras. He further expressed that rich Dogri folk is a mirror of our devotion, courage, benevolence and brotherhood. He also gave a cash reward of Rs. 1000/- to a little girl singer Ms. Barbie. In his presidential address D. C. Raina said that Dogras have rich heritage and Duggar is a land of warriors, saints, crusaders and intellectuals and our new generations should be made aware about our rich history, culture and traditions and appreciated NDS for taking this mission forward.
