Two bovine smugglers held, 18 bovine animals rescued 10/20/2016 10:44:22 PM Early Times Report Rajouri Oct 20: As a part of drive against menace of bovine smuggling, Rajouri Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with the arrest of two bovine smugglers and rescuing eighteen animals from their clutches during a naka at Chrung Bridge Thanamandi of border district. Police spokesperson said, "Following a tip off, police team led by SHO P/S Thanamandi Inspr Surinder Khadyal under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi, Iftqar Talib laid a special naka at Chrung Bridge Thanamandi." "During naka checking Police intercepted two TATA Mobile bearing registration Nos JK03B-2533, and JK02AF-1785 in which police found 18 bovine animals being smuggled from Rajouri to Srinagar via Thanamandi-Mughal Road. Police immediately arrested two bovine smugglers namely Khursheed Ahmed Malik S/O Abdul Rashid Malik R/O Sadpura, Shopian and Asif Mehmood S/O Mohd Hafiz R/O Planghar.
