Will Beig also go the Drabu way?

Early Times Report
jammu, Mar 16: Resentment is brewing within the ruling PDP. Situation has climaxed to the point that senior leaders of the party are airing views against the functioning of the top party leadership. It is happening both in Jammu province and Kashmir region. In Jammu, two PDP MLCs have already quit the legislature and lambasted the party leadership while reflecting on the Jammu issues and Jammu cause.
In Kashmir, situation is no different. The manner in which Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu was removed from the Cabinet has not down well with many party leaders in Kashmir. They have dismissed the decision as a decision taken in haste. And the man who has taken the cudgels with the party leadership is none other than brother of former Dy CM Muzaffar Hussain Baig and MLA Javed Baig.
The other day, Baig openly supported Drabu and opposed his "unceremonious" ouster from the Cabinet for his remark in a Delhi seminar that Kashmir was not a political problem, but a social problem.
Opposing the decision, Baig reportedly said: "The decision (to remove Haseeb Drabu from Cabinet) was akin to the decision taken by the Congress when they removed Mufti Muhammad Sayeed as the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir in 2006, when he had been successfully running the government in the State". "Following that whatever has been happening in the State is for everyone to see," he further said.
Making his point loud and clear, Beig further said: "I listened to Drabu's speech, and it is apparent that he was trying to make some other point…May be he did not say in a manner he did not wish to say but the party should at least have given him a week's time respond and if he would have been adamant, then remove him…PDP leadership had acted in haste to remove Drabu".
He didn't stop just here. He further criticized the party leadership for the kind of treatment the party leadership gave to his brother Muzaffar Hussain Beig. In fact, he said: "Another such decision was taken when senior PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Beig was recalled by Sayeed as the Deputy Chief Minister of the State".
PDP MLA Beig said that "Tomorrow as a human being, I too can err" and asked: "Will the party remove me despite my complete dedication of being with the party and the party president till the end of my life"?
The upshot of his whole criticism against the party leadership was that it condemned Haseeb Drabu unheard. "Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is wise enough but the party leadership who took the decision of stripping Drabu of the ministry should have given him a week's time to explain his position rather than buckling under the pressure of the separatists and opposition National Conference".
Now the question is: Will Beig also go the Drabu way? After all, he has defended Drabu and openly criticized those who ousted or who got ousted him from the Cabinet.
