Early Times Report
Anantnag, Mar 16: Jammu and Kashmir Law department on Friday disengaged PDP Leader Peer Mohd Hussain's son from his services as Additional Advocate General apparently for criticizing the government and calling a group of party leaders as 'Sycophants'
Hashim Hussain, son of veteran PDP Leader Peer Mohd Hussain was disengaged vide Government order Number 1626-LD (A) of 2018.
"….the services of Hashim Hussain, Additional Advocate General Srinagar are dispensed forthwith," the order issued by Law Department on Friday, a copy of which lies with Early Times reads.
Advocate General has been asked to look after the litigation work of departments earlier assigned to Hashim Hussain till further orders.
Advocate Hashim Hussain told Early Times that he received the order copy on Friday and was clueless about the decision of Government.
Law Secretary, Abdul Majid Bhat on being contacted confirmed to have disengaged Hashim Hussain.
"Its Government's decision and so was disengaged the same way he was engaged earlier," Bhat said.
However said that department hadn't received any complaint or adverse report against Advocate Hashim Hussain.
Law Minister Abdul Haq Khan didn't attend repeated telephone calls from Early Times.
PDP Leader Peer Mohd Hussain, who on Thursday hailed the sacking of Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu and claimed a group of 'Sycophants' have surrounded Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, termed the disengagement of his son a 'revengeful act'
"Sycophants proved me right, it is the same group of leaders who again lobbied against me and got my son disengaged," Hussain told Early Times.
He questioned the intention of government and said that was it a sin to suggest party leadership to sit and talk over the contentious issues that will possibly hit the existence of party.
"The decision to disengage my son from his services was the fallout of the yesterday's party meeting," he said, adding it seems to him that there is scope for giving feedback to party leadership.
Hussain said that this development has confirmed to him that 'Sycophants' have surrounded party leadership and were calling shots inside.
Former Minister Peer Mohammad Hussain on Thursday not only hailed the sacking of Haseeb Drabu as Finance Minister but said that corruption is on the rise and the alliance with BJP has not worked well.
Hussian claimed that some political sycophants have surrounded the Chief Minister and she needs to take strong and bold initiatives to reconnect the party with the people at gross roots.
It's for the second i time that Government has taken tuff stand against party leaders for speaking against the party interests. Earlier Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti sacked Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu from her cabinet after he addressed Kashmir problem a 'social issue.
