Says no leader including PM Modi can change or challenge his decisions
BJP MLC considers himself as above party

Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, May 1: A legislator of ruling Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) considers himself above the party and says it publicly that nobody in the party including Prime Minister has the authority to challenge or change his decisions.
The legislator belonging to upper house hailing from South Kashmir while addressing a gathering of his workers on Sunday (April 29) said that even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has no authority whatsoever to change the decision taken by him. The decision in question is related to the suspension of a party worker.
During the gathering the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) referred to two BJP leaders as Qasai (butchers) and said that the party would suffer heavily as long as the Qasais call the shots. He referred to himself as the father of BJP workers in his particular constituency which is being represented by National Conference (NC) in the lower house.
"Let me make it clear to you that the person suspended by me would not be taken back. He may be owned by Narendra Modi or Vir Saraf, but not by me. I stand by my decision and there is nobody who can challenge the same. It should be clear to one and all including all of you," said the MLC in the gathering.
The video of the gathering has gone viral on social networking site facebook and many of the BJP activists have expressed dismay over the remarks made by the legislator against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul and Vir Saraf.
"Since you people have termed me as your elder just like your father I would not disappoint you. I would reprimand you in the same way as a father scolds his children. I am your father and not a Qasai. I cannot send you to Qasais like Ashok Koul and Vir Saraf. Even Narendra Modi cannot act against him," said the legislator.
The issue pertains to the suspension of a party worker by the MLC despite the fact that he does not have any authority to do so. The decision whether to suspend or retain a worker can be taken at the highest level, but the legislator in question has transgressed his authority.
"There is a proper structure in the party and the party leaders, activists and workers are expected to follow the same. No leader whatsoever has the authority to take decision like suspension of party worker. The same can be done only when it is found that a worker has resorted to anti-disciplinary activities while discharging his obligations," said party sources.
Sources said that the MLC has crossed the limits and disciplinary action should be initiated against him so that such things are not repeated in future. They said no leader, worker or activist is above the party and as such stern action should be taken against the MLC. They said that if no action is taken then party would suffer badly in the next parliamentary election and assembly election.
