29 bovines rescued by Police | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, May 31: Rajouri police foiled three separate bovine smuggling bids in Chingus, Rajouri and Thanamandi areas in last 24 hours. A police party headed by SI Sham Lal of Police Station Thanamandi was on night patrol on Thanamandi road when the team saw some vehicles loaded with bovine animals heading towards Kashmir Valley. It signalled the vehicles to stop. As the police party tried to stop them they ran away. The police chased the vehicles and managed to arrest Mohd Shakeel son of Hakim Din resident of Khablan Thanamandi , Ajaz Ahmed son of Sulah Mohd resident of Lah Thanamandi and rescued 12 bovine animals from their clutches. Two vehicles bearing Registration Nos JK11B 8587 and JK11A 1880 have also been seized. Another police team headed by Incharge PP Chingus Chatyar SI Fareed Ahmed under the supervision of SHO Rajouri Tahir Khan and DySP Headquarters Rajouri Jaswant Singh laid a Naka on some specific input and intercepted Tata Motors JK11C 1462 which was seized along with nine bovines animals. A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Rajouri. Another Tata mobile bearing registration no JK11B 4398 was seized at Aiti Morh today morning by a team headed by SHO Rajouri Tahir Khan under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Rajouri Jaswant Singh and rescued eight bovines from the vehicle. However, driver fled away from the spot after parking the vehicle at roadside noticing police movement. The vehicle has been seized and case registered. |
