Early Times Report
Kishtwar, May 31: As a part of major relief to hundreds of Gram Rozgar Sevaks (GRS) who were transferred to other blocks, the Assistant Commissio-ner Development, Anil Kumar Chandial, has ordered immediate posting of GRS back to their home block.
As per details available with Early Times, ACD Kishtwar, vide order No. ACDK/Estt/2018-19/2353-72, dated 30-5-2018, directed the GRS to report back to home blocks with immediate effect.
"All those GRS who are still working in blocks other than their home blocks are hereby detached back to their home block with immediate effect.
Block Development Officers are directed to post them in Panchayats other than their home panchayat and file compliance report within three days positively" reads the order.
This fresh order comes after the order in which all the additional charges were withdrawn in the department.
Talking to Early Times, some of the GRS welcome the order and termed the previous order on their postings outside home block in violation of the MGNREGA guidelines. They said that their salaries are very little and as such they cannot travel from one block to other.
They said that former minister, without considering their financial position, ordered their transfer, which is also against rules, as the GRS posts are created under MGNREGA Act.
