Anshul Garg declares physical education teachers orientation course open

KATRA, June 9: Second Orientation course for Physical Education Teachers representing various Govt. Schools of Reasi, Jammu and Udhampur Districts was inaugurated at Shrine Board's Sports Complex, Katra in an ceremony.
Anshul Garg welcomed all participants of all three Districts and while interacting with then said that from enthusiasm and healthy participatory role of the physical education teachers in the specially designed orientation course, there is no doubt in the fulfilment of objectives and goals besides taking sports and physical education to each and every corner of the state by them. He asked the teachers attending training to keep focussed on the syllabus and priorities identify the best and outstanding talent in their respective institutions and send them to the centre of Sports excellence being run by SMVDSB, so that they are provided proper technical training, coaching and related infrastructural facilities for their proper grooming in a systemic and planned manner for future competitions. He assured of continuous administrative, infrastructural and organisational support by the Shrine Board for all constructive and healthy sports activities which may be organised in the Sports Complex.
In the orientation course which is being organised by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board in collaboration with Directorate of Youth Services & Services Sports J&K 45 Young Male and female Physical Education Teachers serving in various government schools shall be oriented in the ceremonial activities, Teaching & Training in general & specific body conditioning, Basic and advance skills of Athletics, Archery, Basket Ball, Rifle/Pistol Shooting and Volleyball disciplines and methods for selection of Yog Asanas, Group discussions special lectures by the eminent Doctors, Sports persons of International Stature, admin starters and Sports medicine expert shall be introduced prominently said Ashok Kumar, Director Sports.
Dr. Arvind Karwani said that the plan of training has been prepared carefully by the Sports wing. He assured of all cooperation in this respect. Ashok Kumar, Director Sports extended thanks to all dignitaries, especially Director General Youth Services & Sports, all officers of their departments for their fullest cooperation.
On this occasion Dr. Swarn Sing, District Youth Services & Sports officer Reasi was presented a mementos for his dedicated and sincere cooperation for organising sports activities and sports related allied programmes in sports complex Katra
Pankaj Gupta, Dy. CEO Avnider Kumar Director Medical, Ajit Dogra security Officer Rajesh Sharma, Abhishek Sharma and all coaches of the complex were present on the occasion.
