Mystery shrouds death of 32 year old Dachhan youth

KISHTWAR, June 9: In order to put gag on the growing rumors over the death of 32 year old Moti Lal Son of Chet Ram resident of Sounder Dachhan, a father of two minor girl whose dead body was found hanged with a tree outside the village, Kishtwar police constituted a Special Investigation Team headed by a DySP rank officer after Assistant Commissioner Revenue Indeerjeet Singh Parihar (Additional District Magistrate) along with SP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary visited the village and held a meeting with the local villagers and with family members of the deceased over the issue.
As per the details available with Early Times the deceased along with other villagers on Thursday has accompanied with a patient shifted to Kishtwar hospital, but did not return back to home. The locals informed that after the deceased did not return to home, the villagers launched a manhunt to trace out him and later found his dead body hanged with a tree.
During the course of the visit, the people informed the visiting ADM and SP Kishtwar that the killing of the deceased is the handiwork of the militants added that even a lady namely Leela Devi was beaten by some people beside issues threat for some local people.
They informed the visiting team about the movement of militants in the area and brought the matter of joining of three youths into militancy ranks into the notice of the police. The people demanded stern action against the culprits involved in gruesome killing of Lal.
The SP Kishtwar urged the people to maintain peace and communal harmony and did not give any ear to the rumors. He assured the people that police will probe the case on all possible angle for which a SIT headed by DySP rank officer has been constituted so that real motive and the cause of the death could be ascertained. He also gives Rs. 10000 to the family members of the deceased in addition to the aid of Rs. 10000 given by the administration for the cremation of the deceased.
"I hope no consideration/attention is required to be given to baseless whatsapp and other social media messages. We should stay away from giving attention to rumors. Police is alert and attuned to every small or serious issue" SP Kishtwar write on social networking site Facebook adding that the SIT has started the probe. Beside probing into the cause of the death the SIT shall also look into the other reported issues forthwith.
ACR Kishtwar also assured all possible help for the minor children (both girls, 2 & 4 years of age) of the deceased under centrally sponsored scheme Integrated Child Project Scheme (ICPS).
