Early Times Report

Jammu, July 6: The state run-Information department is leaving no stone unturned to crush Early Times by choking the advertisement flow.
The officials, who were patronized by the politicians in the, have become stronger than the institution and are distributing the government advertisement as per their likings and disliking.
Despite the fall of the PDP-BJP government Information department has not changed its tactics. It seems that people at the helm are still taking directions from their "political bosses" and are carrying forward the policy of discrimination with Early Times.
From 28/06/2018 to 6/07/2018 Early Times received 455 cms as government advertisements from the Information department while Daily Excelsior during the same period got 9635centimeters, State Times 5925 cms, Kashmir Times 3360 cms, Himalayan Mail 560 cms, Journey Line 1140 cms and Glimpse of Future 710.
The figures clearly reveal how your newspaper has been discriminated by the people handling the Information department. Early Times is read by all the sections of the society and reaches every nook and corner of the state. It's the people who come forward with the information about corruption scandals and your newspaper has never let them down. It has always stood with them and has given them the voice.
There are more than 200 employees associated with Early Times. It has got its own office building and a printing press in heart of Jammu city. Despite your newspaper figuring in the A-category the Information department is violating its own advertisement policy. During all these years these officials have become "white elephants" and for them distributing government advertisements is nothing but "give and take."
The Early Times since its inception has emerged as the voice of people and has always exposed the rot in the system. We have never let the people down and have always carried the breaking stories about the corrupt practices and the scandals. That's why your newspaper has become an eyesore for the people, who during all their lives have practiced and preached corruption.
Early Times has withstood may onslaughts till date. Despite curbs being imposed and staff being harassed it has emerged as the voice of people. We have stood against all the odds to ensure that "truth doesn't become a casualty" and we will always remain steadfast on our resolve.
