Locals protest as Ari village sans water supply for three weeks
9/6/2018 10:00:30 PM

Early Times Report
MENDHAR, Sept 6: A number of residents of the Upper Ari village and some adjoining hamlets staged protest against the concerned department and said that aforesaid areas have without water supply for the last more than three weeks but the administration has failed to provide water.
The locals of the areas urged upon the SDM Mendhar and Executive Engineer PHE, Poonch to intervene immediately and ensure supply of drinking water to the public during these hot summer days. The villagers alleged that Mohalla Thara and adjoining two localities are the Thara and Sonia Simblan worst sufferers. They said that the PHE pipes have gone dry as the pumping station is also affected and many pipes have developed massive leakage and no body from the department repairs the same. No alternate tanker supply is made available to the public. They demanded that DC Poonch and SDM should take note of their plight.
