Cant Cricket Club , Singh Cricket Club shines in 7th Eid Diwali Milan Cricket Cup

JAMMU, Nov. 20 : Cant Cricket Club and Singh Cricket Club registered wins in their last matches of the league round of the "7th Eid Diwali Milan Cricket Cup"
Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Kumar alongwith Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar visited and inspected Parade Cricket Ground Jammu and also interacted the cricketers participating in the 7th Eid Diwali Milan Cup.
During the interaction session cricketers apprised the Divisional Commissioner that Parade Cricket Ground is the only ground in city where regularly thousands of cricketers play cricket but the ground in a very pitiable condition and for the last so many years none of funds has been utilized for this ground by the Government. One of the senior Ranji Cricketer along with other cricketers requested the Div.Comm. for providing a turf wicket, permanent side screens, more new cricket nets for regular practice and new separated wash rooms for boys and girls.
Earlier in the first match Cant Cricket Club defeated Kashmir Happenings eleven by 99 runs . Batting first Cant Cricket Club scored 160 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 over. Babar 44 ,Parshotam 30 and Sahil 25 were the main scorers. From bowling side Jerry took 3 wickets, Rahul took 2 wickets while Asif took 1 wicket . In reply Kashmir Happenings could not chased the target and managed to score 61 runs 15.3 overs for the loss of all wickets thus lost the match by 99 runs. Asif 17 and Sunil 12 were main scorers. From bowling side, Ashu took 5 wickets while Parshotam and Dheeraj Asif took 1 wicket each .
Ashu was adjudged as Man of the match.
In another match, Singh Club Akhnoor defeated Lakshmi Club by 49 runs. Batting first Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor scored 140 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the 18 overs with Manik 41 runs, Hunny scored 30 runs and Chandan 19 runs. From bowling Side Sameer Took 4 wickets Jugjab took 2 wickets while Boby took 1 wicket .
In reply Lakshmi Club could not chased the target and managed to score 91 runs for the loss of all wickets thus lost the match by 49 runs. Jugjab 19,Nipun 14 and yuvraj 12 runs were the main scorers. From Bowling side Happy took 4 wickets, Rajinder and Sunil took 2 wickets each whle Sham took 1 wicket. Happy was adjudged as man of the match.
