Reserve category members castigate union Govt for not keeping promises | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 23: Various reserved category members have castigated Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly befooling masses as it failed to turn up as per promises made during 2014 elections. In a press release issued here today, they said that PM during 2014 Lok Sabha elections had made many promises but remained defiant of all promises. What he promised in 2014; he never fulfilled but worked much on his undeclared agenda which he never talked of before last elections. They said that Modi had promised for implementing Mandal Report during 2014 Lok Sabha elections in his about 20 speeches while campaigning in J&K adding that he also promised for 2 crore employment every year; promised for 15 lakh in every account; promised for "Sabka - Saath - Sabka - Vikaas", promised for "Ganga Ki Safai", promised for elimination of terrorism in JK State and abolishing on Article 370 but all remained a distant dream. In J&K State; instead of implementing Mandal Report; BJP contrary to that passed two bills in March - April 2017 Assembly session one for Paharis @ 3% and 6% for unreserved categories; which is now is 10% on the name of EWS among upper castes; but never even discussed the matter for implementing Mandal Report and the promise turned out to be "a big lie", they said. Now, the centre government has implemented 10% reservation for EWS of the upper castes which is not objectionable but the way it was done is perplexing as no commission or committee was constituted but straight way the bill was passed, they said. |
