Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Feb 25: The JKSJAC of engineering Graduates Association (JK CEGA, JK EEGA, JK MEGA) have expressed lament over the 'callous' attitude of the administration towards the engineering fraternity. In a meeting held here the SJAC impressed upon the governor administration to resolve and redress the long pending issues such as issuance of SRO for the already approved ACP Scheme, Regularization of all adhoc promotions in a time bound manner, implementation of SRO-42 of 2011. It was reiterated with anger that although the cabinet decision for the ACP Scheme for KPS and Engineers was announced on the same day in the same cabinet meeting, but under a victimization policy for engineers, the formal SRO was issued for the KPS only while the SRO for the engineers is yet to see the light of the day. The meeting said that SRO-42 of 2011, which bifurcated the grade pay of 4200 of 6th Pay Commission in to six sub grades has been implemented for all the employees of the government but for a simple clerical error is not being implemented for the Junior Engineer cadre over the last eight years. The SJAC further resolved that if the issues are not resolved immediately, then the engineers will be constrained to proceed on protest which will include suspension of developmental works and floating of tenders, locking down of offices and suspension of office work. The engineers threatened that if the demands are not fulfilled, they will start protest program. The meeting held at engineering complex Rajbagh was attended by the executive councils of JK CEGA, JK MEGA & JK EEGA. |
