| Excise sleuths conduct raids in Kathua, 2700 Kgs of Lahan destroyed | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Feb 27: Excise Department destroyed 2700 Kgs of Lahan during different raids carried out against illicit liquor in Excise Range Kathua.
The raids were carried out by the Excise Team Kathua led by ETO Excise Range Kathua, Rafie Naik, Inspectors Excise Arun Kumar and Razi Ahmad, SI Amit Sharma along with Excise Guards Rajinder Singh, Shamsher Dev Singh and Akeel Ahmad under the directions of the Excise Commissioner Talat Parvez Rohella and Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive) Jammu Amarjeet Singh. The team raided the Ladhu Chak, Lower Saktachak, Barnoti and Persochak to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor.
In the process more than 2700 Kgs of Lahan raw material of illicit liquor, which is highly hazardous and injurious for health was recovered by the raiding team from state land and later destroyed on the spot. |
