JKGTF hails Governor for resolving teachers' issues | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 5: A meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Government Teachers Forum (JKGTF) in a meeting hailed the decision of Governor Satya Paul Malik for taking personal interest for improving the education sector and fulfilling the long pending demands of teaching fraternity in the state. Previous State governments had done nothing to solve the problems of teaching fraternity, no 7th commission was implemented in favour of SSA /RAMSA Teachers in the state, RET teachers were on strike and demanding salary, 8000 Incharge gazatted cadres of school education department who were not regularized for last 15 years were knocking the doors of higher authorities for regularization, hundreds of schools were announced but no staff was sanctioned in these schools, Amar Nath Thakur state chairman of the forum while speaking in the meeting that all these demands of teaching fraternity are fulfilled and several orders in this regards have been issued and different committees constituted for the purpose are on the job to complete the process in the due course of time .Thakur said that, it was due to the personal intervention of the governor that decision to bring all 42000 ret teachers under the state plan and implementation of 7th pay commission was possible, staff was sanctioned in hundreds of higher sec. and high schools, orders for creating HRM cell for regularizing 8000 incharge cadres were issued, fifty colleges were sanctioned in different areas of the state, cluster university was sanctioned for Ladakh. Special attention was given to fill all vacant posts of CEOS, ZEOs, Principals in schools. |
