4/20/2019 11:06:35 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 20: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today expressed deep concern over the non - payment of 2nd installment of 7th pay commission arrears to the state pensioners, which is due from April 2019. "As per the decision of the previous regime, it was stated that the pensioners who had a attained the age of 80 years have been paid these arrears in one go, but the state pensioners below the age of 80 years will be paid the arrears in equal three installments, which is discriminatory," Shastri said this while addressing a well attended NMC workers meet here. While appreciating the pro employees decisions taken by the Governor administration like timely release of 3% DA due from January 2019 which is the previous governments could not do so and took several months in releasing the DA due from time to time, Shastri hoped that the Governor administration will look in to matter on priority basis and will release the same at the earliest so that state pensioners would get a sigh of relief from rising prices of day to day use commodities and inflation. Shastri also demanded immediate release of funds to the treasuries to clear the G.P.Fund, grauity etc to the state Govt. employees/recently retired Govt. employees which are pending from Feb 2019 in the treasuries for clearing of long pending cases.
