Kishtwar, June 22: Kishtwar police today on the bases of official complaint submitted by Patwar Halqa Keshwan today booked Sarpanch Keshwan A, four others assaulting Patwari, creating hindrance during official function of "Back to Village" beside destroying the documents of PRCs to be distributed among the local beneficiaries of the Panchayat as per the government of Jammu and Kashmir initiative.
As per the details available with "Early Times", Kishtwar police register FIR No. 122/2019 dated 21-6-2019 U/S 353/382/427/147 RPC at Police Station Kishtwar against Farooq Ahmed Kripak (Sarpanch Keshwan A), Tahir Hussain son of Ghulam Hassan Khanday, Idress Ahmed son of Ghulam Hassan Khanday, Nisar Ahmed son of Ghulam Mohudin Khanday and Javed Iqbal son of Abdul Gani Khanday all resident of village Keshwan, Tehsil and District Kishtwar.
The complaint stated that the complainant is a government servant and was on official duty on 21-06-2019 with regard to "Back to village" program, an initiative of Governor's initiative along with nodal officer Dr. Ranjan, Din Mohammad Afaqi (BDO Thakrie) & other officials of various departments added that at around 12 noon, when the general public was present in the program, the applicant started distribution of PRC certificates among some beneficiaries as per the directions of DC Kishtwar through the nodal officer of the camp, the accused person started shouting slogans with the intension to sabotage the prestigious government function and physically assaulted the applicant with criminal intension to deter the applicant from discharging his official duty beside threaten the applicant of dire consequences to the extent of his elimination.
He further stated that the accused was demanding RBA certificate through illegal means for his children's which was not issued by the competent authority on the bases of the report submitted by him as the accused as well as his children's did not fall in the criteria.
The complaint stated that the other four accused at the instigation of the Sarpanch tore the PRC certificates, threatened and attack him as the main accused want to act as a middle men with the intension to rob the poor people for RBA, PRC and other government services added that the ongoing program of "Back to village" is aimed to provide various services to the poor people at door step.
The complainant further stated that he is posted in the area which is militancy prone area and the accused is having criminal record with past history and there is every apprehension of threat to his life in future and requested for registration of FIR against the accused person.
After going through the contents of the application, Kishtwar police register FIR under relevant section of law and started its investigation. However no arrest has been made so far by the police.
Meanwhile All J&K Revenue Association District Unit Kishtwar has called for three days strike from Monday in case Kishtwar police fail to arrest the culprits.
