Congress leaders express shock over loss of lives in Rajouri accident

Jammu, Aug 26: Expressing deep shock over the loss of lives and injuries in a mini bus accident, yesterday in Thanamandi Rajouri, Congress has demanded stern action against the officers and officials failed to perform their duties to prevent over loading.
Several Senior Congress leaders have expressed deep shock over the loss of lives in the bus accident and serious injuries to others. They urged upon the Governor administration to provide immediate special medical help to the surviving passengers and also financial help to families of the deceased and the injured. They conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of the injured.
They also questioned, as how a handicapped driver (Lame of one leg) drove the vehicle carrying 35 passengers i.e double from its capacity from villager Khanetar in Poonch to Shahdara Sharief Ziarat near Thanamandi Rajouri District, crossing over several nakas and traffic police check posts, which raises questions on the functioning of these agencies. They demanded thorough enquiry in the matter and the guilty should be booked under law.
