The autonomy resolution passed by the then National Conference government in the year 2000 has been removed from the new official website of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
Despite this resolution being outrightly rejected by the then Central Government led by late BJP leader Atal Bihari Vapjapyee, this resolution was kept available at the website of the J&K Assembly.
The Kashmir centric leaders during the past 70-years ran their political parties by selling false narratives and slogans like autonomy, self-rule and achievable nationhood. All these slogans and proposals, which were aimed at projecting Jammu and Kashmir as a separate entity have been thrashed post August 5, 2019.
The autonomy resolution which has been deleted from the website of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was put on it by the then Assembly Speaker and National Conference leader Mubarak Gul in the year 2013 just a year before the assembly polls were slated to be held in J&K in 2014. The NC leaders in 2013 had gauged the mood of people and were aware of the fact that their party won't win the 2014 assembly elections. To have autonomy resolution on J&K website could have been an attempt to tell the voters that the NC stands for separate J&K. However, NC had to bite the dust in 2014 assembly polls in J&K and none of its ploys worked.
Peoples Democratic Party joined hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to form the government in J&K. Despite BJP sharing power with the PDP for three and a half years none of the tech-savy BJP leaders objected to the autonomy resolution being available on the official website of the Legislative Assembly of the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir.
Now everything has been washed off the autonomy resolution, the separate constitution of the J&K and the flag. The Kashmir centric leaders, who thrived on deceit and falsehood, too seem to have vanished in thin air. Three former chief ministers and nearly 15 more leaders are under detention still. Most of the leaders, who were detained post August 5 have assured the J&K administration that they won't make any noise and they have been set free.
Kashmir has been made free of people, who except preaching nationalism, spoke about everything and looked for ways and means to drive home a point that J&K's accession with the union of India was not final.
