Mandi, Feb 9: The people of the border area of Sawajian have expressed concern over pathetic condition of bunkers, which have been filed with water and become unfit for putting in.
Though the government had provided bunkers to the border residents to save them from shelling.
The residents said that after a lot of struggle the bunkers were allotted but people were still unaware as who was constructing them.
The Deputy Commissioner had not sent any team to inspect them. These bunkers are under construction for the last over two or three years but still not plastered. Neither the lighting nor water facility is provided in the bunkers, making them unfit to stay there.
Member Panchayat Mohammad Shafi asked the government to investigate the matter. The people have appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to investigate the faulty design of the bunkers as well as their incomplete construction. |
