JKNPP criticizes BJP for criticizing Harshdev Singh
7/15/2020 11:28:48 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 15: Advising the BJP leaders to give a peep into their own dirty laundry before casting aspersions on the NPP Chairman, the senior Panthers leaders today described Harsh Dev Singh as a daring and dynamic leader of J&K who alone had the guts to confront the corrupt and authoritarian bureaucracy/politicians.
Rajesh Padgotra Provincial President Jammu, State Secretary Gagan Pratap Singh and Surinder Chouhan District President Jammu (Rural) addressed media persons in response to the statement made by BJP Spokesperson Tahir Choudhary.
Rajesh Padgotra said that Harsh Dev had only argued with the DSEJ over prevailing corruption in the Department which was blown out of proportion and made an issue by the BJP.
It was amazing to find BJP leaders terming the complaint of corruption as misbehaviour with a female deliriously oblivious of their own conduct and character. “Have you forgotten the allegations levelled by your female party workers of sexual exploitation on top BJP leaders. Is it not a fact that some renowned female leaders of BJP had accused some top BJP leaders of calling them to hotels and other places and charged them with sexual harassment? And if a genuine argument with a top officer amounts to misconduct in the eyes of BJP, then BJP is answerable not only to J&K people but the whole nation over the allegations levelled by its own female activists against its top leadership.
The BJP of J&K is mentally bankrupt with a diseased leprosy ridden body whose pus cells have infected the entire system”, asserted Padgotra.
Lambasting the BJP for patronizing corrupt officers, Padgotra questioned if pointing towards acts of corruption was also made an offense in saffron rule.
He said that NPP would continue to expose corrupt and dishonest officers and politicians notwithstanding the politics of suppression and oppression unleashed by BJP.
Gagan Pratap Singh expressed dismay over the sudden concern erupted in the minds of BJP leaders over female respect. Where were these leaders when hundreds of daughters of J&K were made to polish shoes on roads after having been terminated from Health Department? Where were they when hundreds of female contractual teachers were made to languish on roads despite assurances of their regularization made by BJP during elections.
Where were they when female contractual lecturers held a three year long relay hunger strike at Jammu with none to even listen to their tale of woes?
Where were they when Anganwari and Asha workers were lathicharged by police in their own government with several pregnant ladies having been brutally assaulted?”, questioned Gagan Pratap Singh.
Khajur Singh, Joint Secretary and Surinder Kumar Yadav, State Secretary Rajasthan Panthers Party were also present in the press conference.
