Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 22: United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Jammu and Kashmir, on appealed to people to vote and support deserving and educated candidates in District Development Council (DDC) elections as only educated candidate, being from any Political Party or Independent, would safeguard the aspirations and sentiments of people which is the core identity of Jammu region.
UDA Convenor, Rajiv Mahajan, in a press conference today, asked the Jammuites before casting their votes they must bear in mind what happened to them during over seventy years under various political parties rule in the J&K after giving the historic mandate to the party. He strongly maintained that the performance of BJP and other political and regional parties in front of all of us and repeating the same mistake by trusting any party which had will be a serious blunder.
With Jammu region having experienced the worst era of neglect and deprivation during the last 70 years, Mahajan said that only deserving and educated candidates shall fight the bias and prejudicial treatment doled out to the Jammu region. He appealed to the people of Jammu to vote for honest and dedicated candidates whom they think that will address their issues after his election but for God sake don't give another opportunity to corrupt candidates.
Mahajan asked the public to show closed doors to all those who are seeking votes for them to teach them a lesson that in politics if you don't work, then you don't deserve public mandate.
Raising serious concern over the spike in Covid-19 cases, Mahajan requested the contesting candidates for the upcoming DDC polls to abide by the SOP issued by the government to contain the spread of coronavirus. He asserted that only wearing masks, social distancing and following of Covid-19 guideline shall save us from this lethal disease.
Among others who were present in the press conference include R.C Puri (Retd. K.A.S), Kulbir Singh Slathia, Jaswinder Singh (Kuku) and others.
