UDHAMPUR, Jan 24: Appealing people to support the girl child in our families, the NGO 'Jiyo Aur Jeene Do' said that in every field when women are moving forward and are bringing good name for their family and the country as well, everyone should always encourage girls.
Today is National Girl's Day and on this occasion our organization congratulate all the people, said president of the NGO Tariq Shah while speaking to media persons on the occasion.
We all should allow the girls to flourish by giving them an opportunity for education, said Shah, adding that the discrimination that is going on in the society should be eliminated.
He said that there is provision of strict punishment by the government for female foeticide, adding that the more stringent steps towards prohibiting the evil practice of female foeticide shall be implemented.
The vice president of the NGO Parveen Akhtar, Chandra Mohini, members Ejaz, Santosh Kumari, Surjit Singh, Pawan Kumar and others were also present in the press conference. |
