Kashmiri migrants urge governments to address their grievances

JAMMU, Jan 24: A meeting of Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Mahasabha , was held at Muthi /Bohri Jammu here today under the chairmanship of its President Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan, in which the executive body members projected the various demands related to Kashmiri Migrants and also urged the UT and the Central governments to fulfill the genuine grievances of migrants at the earliest.
The demands raised in the meeting included enhancement of the monthly cash relief assistance with free medical aid, to conduct smooth competition for written test and examination to provide one job to one family member of each Kashmiri migrants family, and absorbance all waiting and court cases employees under PM package, to start on spot recruitment drive in all police forces in camps and non-camps, creation of additional 35000 posts in various department in lieu of 25000 retired posts of Kashmiri migrant employees, to release the pending list of over aged unemployed youths who had applied for sanctioning of soft loan to set up their own venture and to confer pending time bound Promotional benefits in lieu of Migrant employees who are rendered long service on same post under PM Package and immediate provide nearest accommodation to employees who are living in expensive rented houses in far flung areas with basic amenities and life security.
Those executive members who spoke on the occasion were Des Raj Bhasin, Pushkar Nath, Mohinder Bhasin, Sanjay Chopra and other senior members.
