BUDGAM, Jan 24: Special Correspondent Early Times Srinagar, Jehangir Rashid was presented with award of honour by President of Loul Cultural Forum and District President International Human Rights Council Budgam Gazi Ajaz. Ajaz also handed over the award of honour to Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza. On this occasion awards of honour were also given to Mohammad Amir Khan, Nasrullah Gazi (journalists), ADC Budgam Dr. Nasir Ahmad, Assistant Labour commissioner Budgam Hafsa Qayoom, Tehsildar Budgam Nusrat Aziz, DySP HQ Budgam, SHO Budgam, District Social Welfare Officer Budgam, District Officer KVIB, ACD Budgam, DPO Budgam and MD SDA.
Several other personalities including Dr Rafi Ahmad, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi and DDC Parnewa Saiqa were also given the awards of honour. Speaking on this occasion Deputy Commissioner Budgam assured full support to the Loul Cultural Forum in organizing cultural events in the district. He also urged Gazi Ajaz to organize activities that would attract the youth towards the Sufi culture in present times. Gazi Ajaz assured that he would continue to work towards promoting the Sufi culture with the support of artists and other people. |
