Kheer Bhawani mela arrangements finalized: Dharmarth Trust

JAMMU, June 13: President Dharmarth Trust J&K Ajay Gandotra on Sunday announced that all the arrangements for the world famous Kheer Bhawani Mela in Kashmir to be held on June 18 have been finalized although the final take on the celebrations will be taken by the local administration looking into the COVID-19 situation. This announcement was made by the Dharmarth Trust President in a statement issued to media persons after holding an extensive four days tour of Kashmir Valley to have firsthand knowledge of the status of the temples and shrines running under the patronage of the Trust and to review the functioning and facilities which these significant religious destinations offer to the devotees. He said that after a tour of Bhaderwah town in the same context, he had envisaged the tour to Valley keeping several things in mind. Gandotra said that during the four days hectic activity he visited Trust’s Regional Office in Srinagar and took stock of the working besides interacting with the employees out there. He said that the discussion was mainly on the holistic development of the temples and shrines in Valley. He also visited Partapeshwar Mandir, Ram ji Temple, Shankaracharya Mandir, Kheer Bhawani Temple and reviewed the arrangements put in place for devotees.
The Trust’s President also performed Puja at Shankaracharya Mandir and prayed for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir. Thereafter, he visited Kheer Bhawani Temple and finalized the arrangements in view of Kheer Bhawani Mela.
He also inspected the Royal Samadhi of Maharaja Gulab Singh and Maharaja Partap Singh at Rajbagh, Srinagar.
Later, Ajay Gandotra gave the whole account of his Kashmir visit to the Trustee of the Trust Vikramaditya Singh during a meeting at Karan Palace, Srinagar. Trust’s Additional Secretaries Varinder Singh Jamwal, Sandeep Khusoo and Mushtaq Ahmed Gashroo were also present in the meeting.
