GCW Udhampur organises webinar on Digital Banking

Jammu, Ju 18: GCW Udhampur organised a national webinar on financial literacy focusing on the topic – “Digital Banking and Grievance redressal on Mechanism on RBI” in collaboration with RBI.
The main emphasises of the webinar was to capacitate the students and faculty to have significant awareness about the digital banking and available mechanism for grievance redressal. The webinar was attended by around 60 participants, which included the students and the staff of the college.
Anil K Reshi, AGM, Financial Inclusion and Development Department, Reserve Bank of India, Jammu was the resource person. Other officials from Reserve Bank of India- Deepak Singla, Sheenam Kumar, Siddharth Chandra and Deepti Saini were also present on the occasion. The Principal Prof. Minu Mahajan presented the formal welcome address and congratulated faculty of the college for the successful organization of the webinar. The event was coordinated by Lt (Dr.) Kamal Deep Kaur, Associate NCC Officer of the college.
Albeit the webinar was focused on financial literacy but Anil K Reshi provided the broader view of the RBI regarding its setup, framework and functioning. He introduced RBI as a crucial institution for the common masses and the whole country by keeping inflation in check, protect the interest deposition and the users of digital banking, managing the foreign reserves, keeping inflation in check, protect the interest deposition and the users of digital banking, managing the foreign reserves keeping in the line with the global scenario etc. A quiz competition was organised at the end of the webinar, wherein questions regarding the same were asked. The students participated enthusiastically. The results of the same would be submitted to the college authorities and the prizes will be given to the winners. The formal vote of thanks was presented by the coordinator at the end of the session.
