Early Times Report

Jammu, Jun 18: The Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology ( YCET ) under IIC, Cell ( Institutions Innovation Council - A MHRD, Govt of India Initiative ) organizes a webinar on "Career in Software Development" for the final and pre-final year B.Tech. students of Computer Engineering on 18th June, 2021. The webinar started with the formal welcome address by Er. Dinesh Gupta, President, IIC Cell and HoD ( CSE / IT ) of YCET, Jammu. Further, it was addressed by Er. Vipin Verma and Er. Pankaj Barghav, Founders of Ecronsoft App. Pvt. Ltd., which is a private company started on 11th October, 2017. It is classified as non-govt. company and is registered at Registrar of Companies, Bangalore.
Er. Vipin Verma told the students that Software Developers conceive of, design, and build computer programs. Some develop new applications for mobile or desktop use, while others build underlying operating systems. Either way, software developers identify user needs, build programs, test out new software and make improvements. Working closely with computer programmers, software developers fill crucial roles in the computer systems, manufacturing, finance and software publishing industries. He further guided the students how to become a software developer, what are the job opportunities, salary expectations, and professional resources. Also he made the students aware about responsibilities, educational requirements, and types of jobs available in the market. He explained the role of a Software Developer ? A Software Developer uses various source debuggers and visual development environments to modify, write, and debug software for client applications. They create document and test client software and write code to create applications that either stand alone or boost access to servers and services.
Many companies require candidates to have experience in the field and a bachelor degree in software development, computer programming, information technology, or computer science. Software developers typically work in office settings, and many also serve as information technology specialists in addition to their software development roles within a company. At the end, Prof. ( Dr. ) A. K. Srivastava, Director, YCET told the students that because of Covid-19 a culture of work from home has become more popular among Computer Professionals. Hence Computer professionals are lucky. Also digitalization is taking place and pandemic has forced many new applications to be developed. There is a high demand of computer professionals in the market and many job opportunities are coming up in future. Hence computer students should grab this opportunity and make the best use of it. Er. Anupreet thanked the eminent speakers Er. Vipin Verma and Er. Pankaj Barghav and other dignitaries.
