KVK Samba organizes awareness programme cum Kissan Goshti

Jammu, June 18: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Samba organized awareness programme cum Kissan Goshti on Judicious use of Fertilizer on 18th of June, 2021 at village Sadwal of Samba under the dynamic leadership of Professor. J.P. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu and the aegis of Directorate of Extension, SKUAST-J. More than 55 farmers from different village Sadwal of district Samba were actively participated in the webinar.
Initially the program was started by Dr. Vinod Gupta, Senior Scientist & Head KVK Samba. He welcomed all the farmers and highlighted the different activities and schemes done by KVK Samba for the welfare of farmers. He discussed about the role of fertilizer in supply plant essential nutrient.
Dr. Sanjay Khajuria Scientist Agroforestry of KVK, Samba has highlighted the role of soil testing in balanced use of fertilizer and importance of organic fertilizer.
Dr. Saurav Gupta, Scientist Entomology of KVK, Samba delivered a lecture on Judicious use of fertilizers in increasing agricultural production and productivity and crop residue management. Dr, Suraj amrutkar Scientist Animal Science discussed about drip fertigation and its importance in agriculture. Dr, Amit Mahajan Farm Manager has briefrd the farmers about soil health card scheme
The vote of thanks was extended by Dr. Sanjay Khajuria. The programme was attended by more than 55 farmers of village of Sadwal.
