Jammu, June 18: The Dogra Sahayata Kendra is taking steps to launch efforts through its Kathua & Khour (Jammu) Units to create awareness, about guidelines and SOP’s for safety against covid-19, amongst the people residing in the remote areas.
This was disclosed by Gulchain Singh Charak, former minister and Chairman, Dogra Sahayata Kendra after handing over the SOP kits today to Satpal, President of Kathua Unit and Sukhdev Singh of Khour ( Jammu ) Unit, containing masks, sanitizer, soaps and a pamphlet etc, with requisite information and guidelines, alongwith other members for distribution amongst the people of above mentioned areas and to create awareness about the COVID19 protocols.
While providing a brief outline of the objectives of Dogra Sahayata Kendra Charak underlined the need to impress upon the people of the remote areas to strictly follow the COVID19 protocols i.e. adherence to lockdown guidelines, wearing masks when going out of the house, frequent hand washing, especially when returning home from outside, keeping 6 ft distance in public places and avoid visiting the crowded areas.
He also emphasized the need for the members of the Kathua and Khour Units of Dogra Sahayata Kendra to sensitize the residents of the border area that anyone who develops Covid19 symptoms should immediately contact the health authorities for getting proper medical advice and treatment.
He also impressed upon the members to maintain liaison with all concerned regarding the facilities being provided by the official agencies in the villages and assist in their proper management and in availing of the facilities by the needy people. He also underlined the need to remain in touch with Dogra Sahayata Kendra Jammu for any help or assistance required by any COVID19 patients in case they are referred to Govt. Medical College Hospital, Jammu for specialized treatment, so that they can avail arrangements made by Dogra Sahayata Kendra to provide packed food for such patients or their attendants, besides Ambulance services within the Municipal limits of Jammu.
Amongst others who were present on the occasion included Col. Karan Singh Jamwal, Samer Dev Singh Charak, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, S.C. Rekhi, Kulbushan Bali, Harish Malhotra, Prithvi Raj Vaid, Suresh Sharma, From Khour Unit Sukhdev Singh, President, Ludermani, Pawan Kumar, Prem Pal ( Retd Head Master ) and from Kathua Unit Satpal, President, Nirmal Singh, Omkar Nath, Joginder Singh(Naib Sarpanch) and Vijay Singh( Ex. Sarpanch Janglote Pranta.
