Mayor reviews ongoing developmental works

Jammu, Aug 24: Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu today visited Govt. Girls High School Rajpura Mangotrian situated in ward no. 33 and took stock of the ongoing development works in the premises of the School.
Madam Renu Manhas Principal and other staff members were present there & put forth various demands in terms of proper sanitation in & around the School premises by deploying S.K.C’s on regular basis cutting of china grass, providing of potable drinking water for the children & staff members and other burning issues of development under taken in the School & their completion on urgent basis.
Mayor listened to their grievances with great patience and assured them that all their demands will be redressed on priority basis. He also directed the Engineering wing to complete the ongoing construction work of Bathroom, Kitchen, Office, store & other allied works within the stipulated time frame by applying best quality construction material for long durability and also appeal to the principal to plant more & more saplings in & around School complex for eco friendly atmosphere. Concerned Sanitary Inspector alongwith other Supervisory staff of Health Section of the ward were also accompanied the Mayor during the tour.
Besides this, Mayor also conducted an extensive tour in the various localities of Subash Nagar extension area of ward no. 39 met with the locals which includes Nagar Mal and other prominent inhabitants of the area.
They demanded that most of the lanes & drains of their locality are partially damaged which has not been constructed/renovated since long. Due to which the locals especially children & senior citizens are facing great hardships while passing through the area and even fell down due to deteriorated conditions of the lanes.
They further requested to the Mayor to issue necessary directions to the concerned Engineering section so that they feel a sigh of relief. Mayor gave them patience hearing and promised them that their genuine demands will be sorted out as soon as possible.
