Two day virtual international Yoga conference organized at Central Sanskrit University

Jammu, June 19: A two-day virtual international Yoga conference was organized under the joint aegis of Central Sanskrit University, Ranbir Campus, Jammu and Menna Amin traditional Yoga and meditation centre, Cairo, Egypt and Ukrainian Association of Ayurveda and Yoga, Kyiv, Ukraine.
Organizing Secretary of International Yoga Conference, Dr. Yogendra Dixit said that on the occasion of 8th International Yoga Day, a two-day virtual international yoga conference was organized in which yoga from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Croatia, Syria and India was organized. Various Experts delivered lectures and told the importance of yoga.
Prof. Srinivasa Varkhedi, Vice Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University, Delhi, said in his blessings that yoga has the spirit of Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, which is for the welfare of all. Yoga works to unite the whole world in one formula. Chairperson Prof. G D Sharma, former Chairman of Yoga Subject Center of Himachal Pradesh University and the keynote speaker was Menna Hashem Amin, Founder of Menna Amin Traditional Yoga and Meditation Centre, Egypt. Riyam Al Saddaheh, International yoga instructor from Syria and Sanjeev Kumar, Yoga teacher of the Yoga Center of Jammu University were among other distinguished speakers.
The technical session of the conference was chaired by Ishwar Bharadwaj, Dean Academics, Dev Sanskriti University Haridwar and the first professor of yoga in India. The keynote speaker of the technical session was Dr. Kamakhya Kumar, Head of Department of Yogic Science, Uttarakhand Sanskrit University. Other distinguished speakers included psycho-spiritual and life guru Shashikant Sadaiv from Delhi, young yoga teacher Sandeep Sharma from Jammu.
The technical session of the second day of the conference was chaired by Dr. Indu Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Yoga, Morarji Desai National Institute, New Delhi. The keynote speaker was Dr. Kundan Sandwar, founder of Ukrainian Association of Ayurveda and Yoga, Kyiv, Ukraine. Other distinguished speakers included Saja Malla, a yoga teacher from the Syrian Center for Yoga and Meditation, Syria, and Kholoud Alayami, a wellness expert from Saudi Arabia. Ravi, a yoga teacher from New Delhi, did a live presentation of yoga.
The valedictory session was chaired by Senzana Satyapriya Marajovic, Yoga and Hippos Teacher from Croatia, and the keynote speaker was Petra Egg-Jenssen, Yoga Instructor from Union Yoga & Ayurveda Singapore. The programme was presided over by the campus director Prof. Madan Mohan Jha.
