2 women, VLW among 5 drug paddlers arrested by police

Kishtwar, June 19: Taking strong action against the “narcotics smuggling”, Kishtwar police under the banner of operation “Sanjeevani” arrested 5 narcotics smugglers including a Village Level Worker (VLW) in RDD department, two women along with Heroine.
As per the details available with Early Times, Kishtwar Police in it’s continuous drive against the anti-social elements, detained 05 more notorious drugs smugglers including02 woman’s from different locations of Kishtwar District and recovered 28 Grams of Heroine.
The official sources told Early Times that, Kishtwar Police developed a specific information and leads from pervious information and accordingly special Nakas were established at different locations of Kishtwar.
A special Naka led by inspector Sameer Ahmed Butt, SHO PS Chatroo accompanied by PSI Mohammad Javid was also established at Parna Chingam area of Chatroo under the supervision of senior Police officers. During the checking of vehicles and pedestrian, Naka party stopped one Royal Enfield Bike (Bullet) bearing registration No. JK14F-3365 and while checking of said vehicle, luggage and personal check of riders in presence of 1st class magistrate, Police party recovered heroine like substance form their possessions weighing about 18gms and arrested them on spot.
The arrested persons have been identified as Rameez Raja S/o Abdul Qayoom, Mefooza Begum & Nobia Begum both wives of Rameez Raja all resident of Sarkoot Kishtwar.
From the leads of pervious inputs, another special Naka was established at Girinagar area of Kishtwar led by Inspector Syed Abid Shah Bukhari accompanied by PSI Happy Choudhary under the supervision of higher ups, while checking of vehicles and pedestrian Naka party stopped one vehicle Vitra Brizza bearing registration No. JK02BQ-1393, while checking of vehicles and personal check Police Party recovered Heroine Like substance weighing about 10grams and arrested them on spot in presence of 1st class of magistrate.
The arrested persons were identified as Aehrar Toyab S/o Tanvir Ahmed R/o Akhyar abad Kishtwar and Asif Zarger S/o Irshad Ahmed Zarger R/o Zarger Mohalla Kishtwar
Accordingly two FIRs stands registered at different PS of Kishtwar viz FIR No 51/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Chatroo and FIR No. 143/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Kishtwar and investigation taken up.
