JAMMU, Dec 17: Has the BJP accepted defeat even before the declaration of results? Has the BJP finally realized that it overestimated its strength when it adopted mission 44+ as its goal for the assembly elections? Has it also realized that it committed a serious blunder by taking Jammu and Ladakh for a ride and focusing its attention only on Kashmir, Kashmiriyat, the so-called Kashmiri pain and the Vajpayee's controversial "Insaniyat, Kashmiriyat and Jamhoooriyat" formulation? The answer to all these three questions seems to be in the affirmative if one reads between the lines what Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday while addressing a massive election rally at MA stadium.

Jammu, Dec 17: Two years after applications were invited for recruitment of male constables by the Civil Defence and SDRF, the process is yet to get underway, raising a serious question mark on the working of Jammu and Kashmir Police, while resentment is brewing among the aspirants who applied for these posts.
The Directorate of Civil Defence invited applications from male candidates on 25/8/2012 for raising a battalion, but though applications were invited, the recruitment process never begun.
Asked about the delay, most of the senior police officers preferred silence while others attributed the delay to NC's recruitment policy.
