SRINAGAR, Mar 30 : In order to ensure over all development of Srinagar city and to keep liaison with Civil Society, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Mr. Shalindra Kumar today convened a meeting with Civil Society and prominent citizens. Jammu : The Jammu and Kashmir government today said nearly two lakh women and over 20,000 children have been benefited from various Central schemes under National Rural Health Mission. JAMMU: Demanding comprehensive settlement, a large number of displaced families from various districts held a protest against the State Government under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir PoK Refugee Front 1947, 1965 and 1971 outside Press Club, Jammu on Tuesday.

Jammu, Mar 30 : The Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand today informed the House that against the sanctioned amount of Rs. 1006.05 crore under Sarva Shikshya Abhyan (SSA) for construction of schools buildings and other related infrastructure in the State Rs. 657.86 crore have been released during last two years. Replying to a question by Yashpaul Kundal, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Rs. 25.91 crore have been released for construction of school buildings in Udhampur and Samba district during the period under SSA.

JAMMU, Mar 30 : Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather today informed the House that the Government has chalked out a comprehensive transfer policy which is transparent and justifiable.
Responding to the debate on Private Members Resolution moved by Mr. Harshdev Singh, in the House today, the Minister explained contours of the transfer policy adding the policy is in vogue w.e.f July 10, 2010.
