URI, Jan 28 : Minister for Medical Education, Sports and Youth Services, Taj Mohi-ud-Din today visited border Tehsil Uri and paid obeisance at Syed Rang Imam Badshah Shrine at Shadra Sharief and Kamalkot and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the State. Later, addressing a public meeting, the Minister said that the State Government kick started a new era of development and progress in the Jammu and Kashmir by virtue of the liberal funding by the Central Government. He said that a network of roads was constructed resulting in connecting Shadra with Jabrian villages of Tehsil Uri. To provide basic health care and educational facilities to the people living in far flung areas, he said the Government opened several Public Health Centres and Primary Schools in uncovered areas of the State for which the Government was committed. He said that the problems confronting people are being solved on priority particularly in far flung areas. On this occasion, District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, Mr. Ghulam Ahmad Khawaja, various officers, Panchs, Sarpanchs and prominent citizens were present. |
