| No one resigned for ex-PWD minister Saroori, says Kishtwar Congress | | | Asif Iqbal Naik
KISHTWAR, Jan 28 : Denying the reports of resignation by any party leader or office bearer from the party in protest against non-inclusion of MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori into the cabinet in the recently held reshuffle, District President Congress Pardeep Singh Parihar appreciated the role of PCC Chief Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz and Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for giving due representation to Chenab region by inducting two ministers. While hailing the induction of Abdul Majeed Wani and Vikar Rasool, Parihar said that both were the best choices of the party high command and expressed hope that the new ministers will come up to the expectations of the people of this backward and down trodden region. Congress leader who was accompanied by senior leader Sheikh Nasir and several other leaders expressed displeasure over some dis-information campaign carried by few vested interests after the cabinet reshuffle. On the occasion, beside Parihar, several other party leaders present in the press conference also said that party has flourished in the state under the leadership of Prof. Soz who is an honest and hard working leader and is also keen to strengthen the organization at gross root level. They said that District Congress Committee is satisfied with the decision of party high command, rather they are thankful to leadership for inducting two ministers who are dedicated and also have clean image. While praising Azad, Congress leaders said that J&K has achieved new heights in the sphere of development during the tenure of Azad and added that it was Azad who granted Kishtwar a district status. District Congress Committee alleged that few vested interests with the motive to defame the Congress leadership are carrying disinformation campaign. They said that not even a single office bearer at district or block level has resigned from the party. They said that AYC President Inderwal has already issued denial of the news and it has been gathered from the administration that no Sarpanch or Panch has tendered resignation from his post. Others who were present during the press conference included president District Congress Committee Pardeep Singh Parihar, former DYCC President Advocate Sheikh Nasir Hussain, Block President Kishtwar Haji Ghulam Hassan Mir, Block President Padder Nek Ram Manhas, AYC president Nadeem Iqbal and Mahila Congress State secretary Urmila Devi. |
