| Hike in migrants' cash relief meager, insufficient: KMRHOAY | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 30: Expressing its dismay over the hike in migrants' cash relief, the Kashmiri Migrants Relief Holders and Over Aged Youths (KMRHOAY) said today that the increase of just Rs 400 is too meager and is insufficient. In a press statement issued here today, the KMRHOAY said that this time we had high hopes that our burning problems would be genuinely taken care of by J&K Government and Government of India adding that we were expecting that cash relief will be increased handsomely so that we could cope up with the inflating prices of essential commodities but unfortunately the hopes have dashed with the mere enhancement of Rs 400 per month per soul. The statement further said by this, we think that our wounds, instead of curing, have been scratched to bleed. The enhancement is nothing then a cruel joke and it is like treating the relief holders as mere begging humans. We are not on picnic as we have been forced to be in exile in our own country for no fault of ours. And the response given by the respective governments is unsatisfactory. |
