KATHUA, Jan 30 : In its continuous endeavour to guarantee quality drugs to consumers, a team of officers of Drugs and Control Organization, Jammu conducted surprise check of retail/wholesale establishments in districts Kathua and Samba as per the directions of Deputy Controller Drugs and Food Control Organization, Jammu.
During the drive areas of district Kathua which include Hatli, Marouli, Barnoti, Ghagwal, Rajpura and border areas of district Samba were also visited.
A total number of twenty drug samples were lifted for test and analysis. Medicines found kept without specific labled storage conditions were destroyed on the spot.
One unlicensed shop found running at Marouli was sealed in compliance to the directions of the High Court.
All dealers were directed to comply with provisions of Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and action as envisaged under rules including suspension of licenses would been initiated against the defaulters. |
