| Private nursing homes looting masses: JKSS | | | Jammu, Jan 30 : Jammu and Kashmir Sangram Sena (JKSS) today alleged that the private Nursing homes in the Jammu are looting the poor population on the pretext of their treatments. As per press release, a meeting of JKSS was held here under the chairmanship of its president Ram Rattan Raina. Speaking on the occasion he said that the private nursing homes have been squeezing money from poor masses and termed it quite inhuman and injustice with the masses."It is quite unfortunate that government never initiates appropriate steps to control the mess and unlawful extortion of money from the patients and the same is not being checked, instead the nursing homes are set free to adopt their unwarranted means and methods to extract money from poor while treating the patients" he said. He cited an example that a leading Nursing home in order to extract money the dead is put on ventilator and heavily charged. "This fact has been as curtained and brought into the notice higher-ups, but of no avail" he mantained. He said during the regime of former Governor of state, Jag Mohan Nursing homes were put at halt, but now it is rampant in the state. He urged and applied the CM and his Ministry to restore humane treatment to the ailing poor masses by initialing proper rightful action against these Nursing homes and private practicing Doctors who act virtually as buttress. |
