| ReZs threaten strike | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 3 : Rebher-e-Ziraats (ReZs) have threatened to resume their strike during forthcoming budget session, if their "genuine" demands were not fulfilled. The ReZs have been employed in Agriculture Production Department since April 2007 with Rs 1500 per month (Honorarium). "Under labour laws technical and skilled labour should be paid Rs 450 per day as wages but we the highly qualified and professional technocrats are given a meagre wage of 50 per day. It is a gross violation of our rights," a spokesperson of the Association said. He said the "inhumane policy" by the government towards them has forced them to take a decision to go on strike if their demands are not fulfilled immediately. |
