| Siddiqui alleges wide scale bungling in govt run schemes | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Feb 3 : Senior People's Democratic Party leader Shakir Hussain Siddiqui conducted extensive tour of Nagseni area in Kishtwar. During his tour, Siddiqui addressed the public meetings at different places and listened grievances of the general public. Several public deputations hailing from the area also met Siddiqui during his tour.
In a press statement issued here today, the local residents informed the PDP leader that they are facing scarcity of drinking water, electricity and ration. People also complained about the alleged irregularities in MGNREGA in the area and said that people alleged that the Rural Development Department is not making payment on account of material component to the job card holders. After hearing the people grievances, Siddiqui assured that their genuine demands will be projected before the appropriate forums.
Speaking about the alleged irregularities in MGNREGA, Siddiqui said that like in other parts of the state the MGNREGA is being misused by the authorities. He said that in other centrally sponsored schemes like IAY, BRGF, TSC has also turned to be a hen laying golden egg for the officers. He said that the injustice to the people will not be tolerated. People while extending their thanks to the PDP leader also expressed hope that their demands will be placed before the concerned authorities for redressal. |
