Power being misused by Police, alleges BMS

Jammu, Feb 3 : Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) today alleged that the police have been misusing of its power.
As per press release issued here, a meeting of BMS core committee was held under the chairmanship of its president Karnail Chand. In the meeting, the members showed their resentment against the way SHO and his team at police station Satwari for misbehaving and thrashing the Harbans Choudhary Deputy General Secretary who had gone to police station in support of his neighbour to know about the reason for his arrest. "The hollow slogans of police higher official are only on papers and in debates only that J&K police is public friendly and work under law. Practically there is no rule, laws and dignity maintained in police stations particularly in night hour where most of the police officials remains in drunken condition and misbehaved with the public as they deem fit" BMS alleged. It demand that action should be taken against the official those who were responsible for misbehaving and thrashing BMS's General Secretary and other under the influence of opposite party.
